CTE Early Learning Highlight
CTE Early Learning HighlightWhen I first entered high school, I was not sure what I wanted to do for a job. I decided to join the Early Learning CTE program on a whim, and it ended up being one of the best decisions I ever made. In the Early Learning program, I was able to gain a lot of knowledge about the development of children and different teaching methods. I was also able to gain tons of on-the-job experience by traveling to Cardwell to help in a classroom. The Early Learning CTE program allowed me to get an Educational Aide 1 certification, completely paid for, and I was able to get articulated credits because I maintained high grades in the program. Having a certification and experience working with children really helped me to get a job at Ceniza Hills Elementary school as an instructional aide at the age of 18. I was able to buy my own car and I am already putting money into retirement. I am getting a jump-start on my life, and I realize that without the Early Learning CTE program, I would not have been able to achieve all of this so quickly.
