CTE- DIY Day CTE Month
Career and Technical Education Month, or CTE Month, is a public awareness campaign that takes place each February to celebrate the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs across the country. The SFDRCISD CTE program will once again participate in this event by offering the free Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Day on Saturday, February 9, 2019 with multiple opportunities for the community to learn about the 13 different career clusters that are offered, and even tour CTE classrooms and labs in our new Gerardo J. Maldonado CTE Center. Pre-registration is required.
The mission of the San Felipe Del Rio Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department is to educate all students to meet the challenges of the 21st Century by integrating academic, professional, and technical standards. CTE offers multiple opportunities for students to earn dual college credit, earn national industry certifications, and be part of many student leadership organizations. CTE prepares students to become career and college ready and to obtain high-wage jobs in high-demand occupations.
San Felipe Del Rio CISD adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate.
The tax rate will effectively be raised by 4.10 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $-98.07.
