During the Partnering for Safe Schools Summit, we learned that so much can be done in keeping our schools safe when we partner with local law enforcement agencies. One way to collaborate and decrease the threat of safety is to increase the presence of law enforcement in our schools. Supported by our school board, SFDRCISD was motivated to initiate a district-wide effort called Project Safe. This program invites all law enforcement officers and first responders to free breakfast, lunch, or coffee at any of our school campuses throughout the 2018-2019 school year. Officers and agents are highly encouraged to come in uniform and present their badge in the main office during breakfast and lunch periods for a free meal or during any other part of the day for a cup of coffee and free access to the internet. We ask that you share this information with your staff as soon as possible so that they are aware of and welcome their presence during their visits to your campus. We plan to deploy this project by Monday, Oct. 8th.
Transportation is not being provided.
NHEinsteins Mentor Program held its first event thanks to our community partners, The Bank & Trust! 10 mentors have dedicated their time and support for 30 of our students. Students are working to become Einsteins in math and reading! It was a great turn out and we look forward to students’ continued growth in academics! NHE Tribe! Kind Hearts. Fierce Minds. Brave Spirits.
Thank You Veterans for your service.
